SeeSystems Design Music
All of the music presented here is original by Curtis Smith and provided in a MP3 format. These songs are intended to be used for your personal enjoyment. Any other use (commercial or otherwise) requires permission from Curtis Smith and SeeSystems Design. Technical information: All of these songs were digitally composed and mastered. Most of the songs were notated directly to Noteworthy Composer manually or using a MIDI keyboard. A Creative Labs SBLive audio card with various Soundfonts was used for playback. Additional instruments and mixing was accomplished using Cakewalk Home Studio before final mastering using Felttip Sound Studio.
Laryngitis The tune is was the result of several days of messing around with basic rhythm tracks in Acid before creating the final composition in Cakewalk. The final result came together relatively nice. Click on the title to download the MP3. Play time- 4:48 File size- 5.6MB
Goin' Home (remixed) Goin' Home started out as a upbeat drum and bass line notated in Noteworthy Composer. The drums and bass remain relatively unchanged as MIDI piano, JP4 synth and guitar tracks were added. The final result is a pleasant, foot-tapping soft rock tune. This is an updated version after being subjected to a total remix/remastering. I hope you enjoy it. Click on the title to download the MP3. Play time- 4:48 File size- 5.6MB
BeatHeart Yet another song in the Techno genre that has a harder driving beat than "Knowtime". BeatHeart was created with a combination of MIDI generated sounds and the use of Techno Ejay. Click on the title to download the MP3. Play time- 6:03 File size- 5.7MB
Knowtime My first attempt at "techno" music yielded some pretty good results thanks in part to the use of a music sampling program called Techno Ejay. Many times this type of music has no defined transitions so my goal was to make it more interesting than what you might hear in your typical dance club. But, this does not mean you can't tap your foot to this one!! There are some very low bass notes in this song so use good speakers or headphones to experience the full brain-rattling effect! Maui Sunrise This song was inspired by memories of a beautiful sunrise in Maui, Hawai'i. It starts out slow and anticipating but when the sun peeks over the top of Haleakala (a 10,000 foot mountain), the drums start and so does another fun day in the sun! It is also the first song I completed back in 1999. Click on the title to download the MP3. Play time- 3:04 File size- 2.9MB
Dazed This somewhat frantic song started out as an experiment in percussion. The idea was to create a "jam session" feel with only three instrument types- keyboards, bass, and drums. Click on the title to download the MP3. Play time- 3:21 File size- 3.2MB
Little A's Music Box My little daughter always enjoyed sitting on my lap as I played music on the computer (though she was usually banging on the keyboard). This little song was inspired by her and her teddy bear music box that is actually "wound up" and used at the very beginning of the song. Click on the title to download the MP3.
